The Mi-Pod 2.0 is the second generation of Mi-One Brands' compact pod system, built around an integrated 1250mAh battery and a 2ml refillable pod with a built-in 0.9ohm mesh coil. It is draw-activated with an on/off switch and four power levels shown by an LED, and the chassis is zinc alloy at 72.5 by 45.6 by 13mm, which is small enough to disappear in a hand.

The 0.9ohm mesh coil is the substantive change from the original and the reason to consider this version: mesh heats more evenly than a wire coil and gives a noticeably cleaner reading of a flavour at the same power. Two practical limitations are worth knowing before you buy. The airflow is fixed, so you cannot tighten or loosen the draw to taste, and charging is over Micro-USB rather than USB-C, which is dated. The pod fills from the side through a silicone stopper and slides in rather than screwing, and the device carries the usual protection set including low voltage, short circuit, overheating and 8-second cut-off. Because the coil is integrated into the pod rather than replaceable on its own, the running cost of this device is the pod price rather than a coil price, which is worth working out before you buy. The four finishes are cosmetic only and the hardware is identical across them.
