Daily Grind is Cafe Racer's coffee liquid, and it is a layered one rather than a straight espresso note: coffee sits at the base with creamy vanilla, butterscotch, caramel and hazelnut worked around it. The result reads as a sweetened coffee-shop drink rather than as black coffee.

Coffee is one of the hardest flavours to get right in vapour. On its own it tends to come across thin and slightly burnt, because the roasted notes that carry it in a cup do not survive being vaporised. Building it out with nut and caramel notes is the standard solution, and it works here — the hazelnut in particular gives the coffee something to hold onto, and the butterscotch keeps the finish from turning bitter. If you have tried plain coffee liquids and been disappointed, this is the more reliable route.

It is a 60ml bottle at 70/30 VG/PG and 3mg, which puts it squarely in sub-ohm, direct-lung territory. Use a mesh coil at moderate wattage: the nut and caramel notes darken quickly if you run it hot, and the coffee itself will tip into a burnt taste before the sweeter elements do. As a flavour it works better in the morning and early afternoon than late, which is unusual for a dessert-leaning liquid and is worth knowing if you rotate bottles through the day.
