Coil Master Kit V3

The Coil Master Kit V3 is an all-in-one tool kit for anyone building their own coils, and it is aimed squarely at RDA users. It contains the tools for wrapping, trimming, seating and testing a coil, plus the wire and cotton to actually build one, so it covers the whole process from bare deck to finished build in a single purchase.

The component that justifies the kit over a handful of loose tools is the 521 Mini Tab. It reads a coil's resistance and lets you pulse it dry before wicking, which is how you find and remove hot spots. A coil with a hot spot will scorch the cotton at one point and taste burnt no matter how well you wicked it, and there is no way to diagnose that by eye. The Tab needs a high-amp 18650 battery, which is sold separately. Alongside it you get a 10ft spool of 24ga Kanthal A1, Japanese organic cotton, the Coiling Kit V4 jigs in a silicone case, diagonal and needle-nose pliers, folding scissors, cross and straight screwdrivers, hex drivers at 1.25, 1.5 and 2.0mm, and two tweezers: a ceramic T1 for squeezing a coil while it fires, and an elbow T3 for positioning. It is the natural first purchase when moving from stock coils to rebuilding.
