Uwell Rafale 5ml Sub Ohm Tank

The Rafale is Uwell's 5 ml sub-ohm tank, built in food-grade stainless steel with a quartz glass section rather than the usual Pyrex tube. It is a cloud-and-flavour tank for a regulated mod, running up to 120 W, and it suits a vaper who has moved past pod kits and wants a direct-lung draw with a low-strength freebase e-liquid.

Two things separate it from the crowd. The first is that it fills from either the top or the bottom: the top cap twists open for a quick refill on the move, while the bottom fill is easier if the tank is already seated in a mod with a raised bezel. The second is the pair of coils in the box — a 0.2 Ω head for warm, dense vapour at high wattage and a 0.5 Ω head that runs cooler, uses less liquid and lasts longer. Starting on the 0.5 Ω is the sensible route, because it tells you how the tank tastes before you commit to the heavy end. Dual adjustable airflow slots at the base let you close the draw down considerably, though this remains a direct-lung tank rather than a mouth-to-lung one. At 22 mm across it sits flush on most modern mods, and the quartz section takes knocks better than standard glass.
