Asmodus Flow

The Asmodus Flow is an open-system pod mod, which is to say the 2.7 ml pod is refillable and you are not restricted to buying pre-filled cartridges. It runs on a 510 mAh internal battery charged over micro USB, fires on the draw with no button, and uses a wickless ceramic coil head with a Kanthal element measuring around 2.5 ohm.

The ceramic coil is the part worth understanding. Conventional pods wick through cotton, which scorches and turns the flavour bitter as it ages; a wickless ceramic element has no cotton to burn, so the pod tends to stay drinkable longer. Asmodus rates each pod for five to seven refills before it should be replaced, which is a realistic figure rather than an optimistic one. Filling is done by pulling the rubber stopper from the top of the pod, and there is a juice catcher at the base to keep any seepage out of the battery. At 2.5 ohm on a 510 mAh cell, this is firmly a mouth-to-lung device suited to higher-strength liquid and nicotine salts rather than to sub-ohm clouds. Charge it with the pod removed, and do not leave it charging unattended or overnight. The body is aluminium alloy with gold-plated magnetic connections and an LED that indicates charge level and flashes if the pod is not making contact.
