Uwell Caliburn G Pod System

The Uwell Caliburn G is a 15W pod system with a 690mAh integrated battery, a 2mL refillable pod and a zinc-alloy chassis. It takes the 1.0Ω Caliburn G coil, which presses into the pod rather than screwing in, and can be fired either by the button or simply by drawing on it.

What has kept this kit in circulation years after its release is the combination of a replaceable coil and a metal body. Most pods in this class have the coil bonded into the cartridge, so a dead coil means discarding the whole pod; here the pod is reusable and only the coil is consumed, which is cheaper over a year and produces less waste. The zinc-alloy chassis survives being dropped, and the pod attaches magnetically and fills from the top through the mouthpiece, so there is no pod to remove and invert every time. Airflow is adjustable between a tight mouth-to-lung setting and a looser restricted direct-lung one, though at 15W the device is happiest in MTL. It handles both nicotine salts and freebase e-liquid, which is unusual at this size — a 1.0Ω coil is fine with 20 to 50mg salts and equally comfortable with 12 or 18mg freebase. Charging is over a Type-C port on the base. Two coils are supplied in the box, so there is nothing else to buy on day one.
