SMOK & OFRF NexMesh Pod System Kit 1200mAh
The NexMesh Pod System is a collaboration between SMOK and OFRF, and it sits between a simple pod and a full mod. There is a 1200mAh internal battery with variable wattage from 5W to 30W, a 0.69 inch screen showing the vaping data, and refillable 2ml cartridges in an aluminium alloy body. It is built primarily as a mouth-to-lung device but will handle light direct-lung vaping at the upper end of its range.
The two coils in the box explain how it is meant to be used. Both read 0.4ohm, but the Kanthal A1 mesh coil is at its best between 13W and 18W and the SS316L regular coil between 15W and 20W, which means the 30W ceiling is headroom rather than a working setting. Mesh heats more evenly across the wick and gives the fuller flavour; the regular coil is the more restrained option and tends to last longer. The cartridge fills from the side, which is considerably less messy than prising a bottom bung out over a sink, and the base is sealed against condensation working back into the body, a common failure point on pod kits of this size. Wattage control is the reason to buy this over a fixed-output pod: run a strong salt nicotine liquid at the bottom of the range and a lower-strength freebase higher up.
