Voopoo Argus A Pod Kit 1100mAh

The Argus A is Voopoo's compact pod kit, built around an 1100mAh battery and up to 30W of output, with a dual-zone display that shows power status alongside a record of your usage. It takes the Argus Pod series cartridges and ships with two of them, a 0.4Ω and a 0.7Ω, both 2ml and filled from the top.

Those two resistances matter more than anything else on the spec sheet, because they decide how the kit feels to use. The 0.7Ω pod with the airflow closed down gives a tight mouth-to-lung draw, the cigarette-like style that suits nicotine salts at 20mg and above. The 0.4Ω with the airflow opened gives a restricted direct-to-lung draw, warmer and with more vapour, which suits freebase liquids at 3mg to 6mg. Because airflow is adjusted on the device rather than fixed into the pod, you can tune either one to your own preference instead of accepting the manufacturer's idea of a draw.

Several practical touches separate it from cheaper pods of the same size. There is a physical on/off slider, so it cannot fire in a pocket or a bag. The screen can be switched off to save battery. The cartridges fill from the top, which in daily use is the difference between topping up cleanly and pulling a wet pod out of the device. Being part of the Argus family, it is also compatible with the wider Argus Pod cartridge range, so replacements are easy to find. Seven finishes are stocked.
