The Vaporesso Vibe SE 2 is a refillable pod kit with an unusually large 4.5ml top-fill pod behind a 1400mAh battery. Those two figures together are the argument for it: most pod kits in this class hold 2ml to 3ml and need filling every day, whereas this one is sized to go a couple of days between both refills and charges.

It uses dual mesh coils in 0.6ohm and 0.8ohm, and the choice between them matters more than the colour. The 0.8ohm runs cooler and tighter, suits a mouth-to-lung draw and pairs sensibly with higher-strength salt nicotine; the 0.6ohm is warmer and airier, better for a restricted direct-lung style, and gets through liquid and battery faster, so it is the one to match with lower nicotine strengths. The Eco and PWR modes work alongside that: Eco trims output to stretch the battery over a long day, PWR gives the fuller draw when you want it, and a sliding switch moves between them without digging through a menu.

Top filling is the other practical gain. Filling from above means the pod stays in the device and there is no inverted cartridge dripping onto a desk. Charging is over USB-C at 1A, which is standard rather than fast, so expect a full charge in roughly an hour and a half from empty. At 120.8mm tall and 53g it is a substantial device in the hand, closer to a small mod than a pocket pod.
