Uwell Caliburn G3 Pod System Kit 900mAh

The Caliburn G3 is Uwell's successor to the G2, and the substantive changes are an OLED display — the first in the Caliburn G series — a side-filling 2.5ml pod and an adjustable airflow system. It runs a 900mAh battery to a maximum of 25W in an aluminium-alloy body measuring 115.5 by 24 by 13.9mm, and charges over Type-C.

The two included pods are what make it flexible, and choosing between them is the decision that actually matters. The 0.9Ω FeCrAl mesh pod gives a tight mouth-to-lung draw suited to nicotine salts; the 0.6Ω FeCrAl mesh pod opens things up for restricted direct-to-lung vaping with lower-strength liquid. Because airflow is adjustable on the device as well, the G3 covers tight MTL, loose MTL and RDL from a single kit rather than committing you to one style at the point of purchase. The coil is integrated into the cartridge rather than fitted separately, which seals the pod and is the main reason the G3 leaks less than its predecessor did.

Three firing modes are offered: button only, auto-draw only, or both together. That is more useful than it sounds. Auto-draw is the more natural action, but a button lock stops the device firing in a bag or pocket, so you can use auto-draw day to day and lock it when the kit is packed away. The pods are transparent with a generous liquid window, so the level is visible without unclipping anything, and the pod is held magnetically. Six finishes are stocked.
