JAM MONSTER – PB & JAM

PB & Jam is Jam Monster's peanut butter and grape jam blend, and it is one of the few e-liquids that genuinely tastes of a sandwich rather than of a sweet. The grape jam is bright and slightly tart, the peanut butter is thick, salty and savoury underneath it, and the interplay between the two is the whole point — neither works on its own here.

It is a heavy flavour, and that governs how you use it. Savoury and nut notes coat the palate more than fruit does, so most people find this works better as a change of pace in the evening than as the only thing in the tank all day. It is also the most polarising style Jam Monster make: if peanut butter as a vape flavour sounds wrong to you, this will not convert you, and the grape version is the sweetest of the three jams they use, so there is nowhere for the savoury note to hide.

It is supplied as a 100ml bottle at 3mg. That combination points clearly at a sub-ohm, direct-lung device: a 100ml bottle is intended for someone getting through a good deal of liquid at higher wattage, and 3mg is the appropriate strength when each puff carries a lot of vapour. It would be far too weak for a pod system. Thick, sweet blends of this kind also load a coil faster than plain fruits, so expect to change one sooner.
