GeekVape Aegis Boost Pod Mod Kit

The Aegis Boost is GeekVape's pod version of the Aegis platform, taking the rugged construction the range is known for and applying it to a refillable pod system. It runs a built-in 1500mAh battery through the AS chipset with variable output from 5 to 40W, a 1.0 to 6.0V range and a 0.42 inch screen, feeding a 3.7ml cartridge with a 0.6 ohm coil. It charges over micro-USB at up to 1.5A.

The case is zinc alloy with silicone, plastic and leather panels and carries an IP67 rating against dust and water, along with the shock resistance the Aegis line was built around. That matters more than it sounds for a pod: most pod systems are the device you carry loose in a pocket or a bag, which is exactly where a plastic-bodied unit picks up cracks. At 120g and 106.8 by 39.2 by 27.7mm it is noticeably heavier and larger than a slim pod, which is the trade for the protection. Protections cover short circuit, high and low resistance, overheating, overcharge and over-discharge.
