Latakia is the most distinctive leaf in Black Note's range and the one least like a conventional e-liquid. It is rich, intense, smoky and peppery, produced using the Syrian Latakia process: the tobacco is sun-cured first, then smoke-cured over controlled fires of fragrant wood and native aromatic herbs. That second stage is where the flavour comes from — the leaf absorbs the smoke rather than being flavoured with it, which is why the character is heavy and resinous rather than sweet.

This is pipe-tobacco territory, and it will be immediately familiar to anyone who has smoked an English pipe blend and completely foreign to anyone who has not. Treat it as an occasional vape rather than an all-day one; the pepper builds over a long session and it overwhelms lighter flavours if you share a tank.
