AK82 Coils

These are hand-built coils from AK82, sold as a matched pair, for rebuildable atomisers. They are made in a range of styles — alien, fused clapton, screamers and six-core builds — across resistances from 0.1Ω up to 1.38Ω, so the range covers everything from high-power direct-lung to tight mouth-to-lung.

The reason to buy ready-made coils rather than winding your own is consistency. A fused clapton or an alien is a multi-wire build that takes practice to make evenly, and an uneven wrap produces hot spots, which means an unpleasant draw and cotton that scorches on one side. A bought pair arrives already matched, so both atomisers in a dual-coil build fire identically. Resistance is the number to choose by, and it should be matched to your device and your liquid, not picked for its own sake. Anything at 0.1–15Ω is a high-power build for a regulated mod running 60W and above with 3mg freebase liquid; the fused claptons around 0.33–0.38Ω sit in the middle for restricted direct lung; and the 0.78Ω and 1.38Ω MTL builds are made for low-wattage mouth-to-lung, where a higher-nicotine liquid makes sense. Most of the builds use Ni80 wire, some with a KA1 core. Do not fit a sub-ohm build to a mechanical device unless you understand battery safety and can check the resistance on a meter first.
